The cornerstones of every property search are budget, location and property style. We can help you establish what you can afford, whether you qualify for Help to Buy, and the size of property you could consider. We always recommend registering your details with us as soon as you can. This way, you’ll be the first to hear about our current properties and forthcoming off-plan sales.
If a Kingerlee home has caught your eye, ask about a site visit or a detailed appointment where we’ll take time to explain the site, the plots available and the construction timescales.
When you buy one of our properties off plan, you start an exciting journey with Kingerlee Homes. At the reservation stage when we start talking about fixtures, finishes and specification – you’ll be shown all the options that are available for you to choose from. Buying one of our completed properties is very similar to buying on the open market. Your purchase may be conducted through us or through a trusted local estate agent that we have appointed to sell the property.
Kingerlee Homes has been building properties for more than 150 years, so construction comes second nature to us. We have a team of expert site managers, architects, planners groundworkers and trades, whose sole focus is to keep progress on schedule and standards as high as possible. If you have reserved a property off-plan, you are welcome to pay the site a visit (by appointment) to check progress, measure up and share in the excitement as milestones are reached.
There’s nothing worse than being left wondering what’s going on, and updates are particularly important with a purchase as valuable as a property. We start as we mean to go on – with an open dialogue with our buyers. As well as providing regular updates on key dates, legal aspects and construction progress, we operate an ‘open door’ policy, making ourselves available on the ‘phone, via email and in person.
Our sales team, construction staff and customer service department are here to help you feel right at home – whether that’s advice on the closest school or parade of shops ahead of exchange, to using your new oven the week you move in. Feel free to get in touch, no matter how trivial your question may sound.
Once the exchange of contracts has taken place and construction moves towards its final phase, we will be in touch to set a completion date and organise a home handover. The handover will take place before you move in and you’ll be in the safe hands of a Kingerlee property expert. You’ll get a guided tour of your new home, and be shown how to use the new appliances and heating system, and where important features are, such as the stop cock and the fuse board.
Congratulations! Your solicitor will confirm that your funds have cleared and we’ll meet you at your new home to hand over the keys. Step inside and enjoy the newness, explore every room and start unpacking. We’ll be in touch in the days following your move to ensure you’re settling in and we’ll stay in contact too. Welcome to the Kingerlee Homes family.
