Development Details

Lincoln Grove Park Close, Bladon

A development of 9, 2 & 3 bedroom houses adjoining the Blenheim Estate, built to the highest ecohomes standard, known as ‘ecohomes excellent’.

Bladon is a beautiful village on the edge of the Cotswolds with good access to surrounding areas.

The development adjoins the World Heritage site of Blenheim Palace where Winston Churchill was born, with Bladon Church being chosen by him as his final resting place.

It is here in 2006 that Kingerlee Homes chose to build its first fully Ecohomes scheme.

Ecohomes Excellent

With concern growing over global warming, Kingerlee Homes and its joint venture partner, Lifehaus PLC, made the decision to build to a much higher standard than is required by current Building Regulations. The aim was to build homes in a much more sustainable and carbon-efficient manner. The standard known as EcoHomes allows developments to be independently assessed against a code set up by the Government, which takes account of the environmental impact of the development both during construction and throughout its life. The current standard has four acceptable levels. Lincoln Grove will achieve the highest possible level – ecohomes excellent.

What does ‘EcoHomes Excellent’ mean for you?

It means that your home not only meets, but exceeds, the needs and standards of modern living and helps protect the environment. Today and in the future, you will benefit from cost savings on utility bills resulting from the efficient way that your home has been built. You will also enjoy the peace of mind that comes with supporting the ‘Eco’ philosophy and, as building standards are improved and enforced in the future, you will already have a desirable and sustainable property that meets these standards.
